In new tests by Ofcom, 118 118 emerged at the UK’s most accurate service, bar none. Residential call accuracy tipped 93%, compared to 77% for an enquiries to BT’s cheaper and much less accurate offering, while overall general accuracy on 118 118 stands at 96%.
118 118’s new price reflects general trends in price inflation. In 1981, 192 cost 45 pence; about the same as today’s services.
