Millennium stadium is a rather grand sporting even experience. Situated next to the train station and many drinking establishments, it is in a good position.

I came here for the rugby a few years ago (Wales v. Australia) and I thought the stadium was absolutely amazing. You can argue that the atmosphere is purely down to the Welsh fans rather than the venue but it seemed more inspiring and deafening in here compared to other Wales games I've been to in the old Wembley and  Twickenham ages ago. I got a sense of vertigo as I came in, as the seats seem to drop off really steeply. You almost feel like you're going to fall onto the pitch for a couple of seconds. All part of the fun though!

You can see it everywhere around Cardiff. This stadium has such a unique look that makes it instantly recognisable. It plays hosts to some of the biggest games ever played in the world of sport and it keeps bringing in fans from around the world. The Millennium Stadium is what makes Cardiff great. You are captivated by everything in there once you enter and suck up all that atmosphere when watching a game.

Millennium Stadium, although cleverly disguised as a sports venue and large performance arena, is actually home to a unique social experiment.

One of the defining features of Cardiff's skyline, the Millennium Stadium sits beautifully at the heart of city, with dozens of pubs in close proximity, ideal for match days. With one half of the ground running scenically alongside the river taff, fans can stroll along the broad-walk before entering this colossal sports stadium, which is also used for a number of music events. The architecture is very impressive, with four large turrets towering into the sky at each corner of the ground. Embellished with glass panels and the distinctive red worn by Wales' football and rugby sides, this a landmark across the whole of Wales, not only Cardiff.

Having been an avid fan of rugby since being knee high when I was told Cardiff Arms Park was to be no more...I was one of the 'ones' who shed many a tear. I was also one of the 'ones' to shed many a tear, once again, when the stadium opened when Wales hosted the Rugby World Cup in 1999.

My first visit to the Millennium stadium was unforgettable. I was there to see one of my favourite bands headline an all day event there and the place was absolutely heaving. Come to think of it, every event I have ever been to there has been heaving. As with any large venue you should expect to pay a higher ticket price to get in, security is pretty tight and you cannot take your own alcohol in. Security perform searches so if you do take any then expect to have it confiscated before you get. It really would be a waste of money taking anything with you in that sense as not only will you have paid for the confiscated items, you will find yourself paying inflated prices once you have made it through the queues.

As the home of welsh rugby, the Millennium Stadium has seen countless internationals over the years and regularly attracts capacity crowds of over 72,000 fans, eager to see their countrymen wear the red jersey of Wales.

The Millennium Stadium is pretty hard to miss if you're anywhere around the centre of Cardiff. Big, white, angular spiky bits reach out from the huge basin that has come to be a world-renowned sports and music venue.

The national football and rugby ground was famously built on a budget a fraction of many similar stadia. A dominating landmark, from the outside it looks as though an alien craft has landed in Cardiff. Inside, intelligent construction means that, despite its 74,500 capacity, views from all around the ground keep you right in the heart of the action. The Millennium Stadium also acts as an enormodome music venue, previously hosting concerts from the megastar likes of Take That and Paul McCartney. It's also played host to a variety of motorsport events, including the Wales Rally GB, speedway and monster truck jams. Two minutes from the main bus station and Cardiff Central for train connections, driving to events is less advised unless you want to fork out for an adjacent NCP or park a good hike out of town.

A regularly used sports building, for rugby, concerts, and a million other events. Situated within Cardiff's town centre. It is famously known and is a popular place to visit. Well loved and appreciated by its fellow Welsh citizen's. One hundred per cent ideal for all sport fans, particularly for the Welsh sport fans.

The Millennium Stadium is everything a stadium should be. Located in the centre of town a short stroll from the station the whole City comes alive when it's a matchday. The atmosphere inside is immense, the stands are steep so you feel as if you are on top of the pitch and the retractable roof when closed serves to keep it all in especially when Wales score. The bars inside are efficient meaning that the half time rush isn't that bad.

This fantastic venue, home to the UK's first fully retractable roof, not only hosts massive sporting events such as the Rugby World Cup, the FA Cup Finals, and motor sports events, but also huge music concerts from the likes of U2 and Madonna.

The Millennium Stadium is an unmitigated success as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure that not everyone liked the look of the imposing modern structure that dominates such a large part of the city centre when it was first constructed, or the disruption that it caused when work was in progress, but I'm pretty sure that most people have been won over. Considering that the Millennium Dome was such a crashing disaster in London, The Millennium Stadium is definitely something that Cardiff can be proud of.
