Serving classic North Indian dishes from its colourful restaurant on the High Road in Harrow and Weald, Ishq has a stylish contemporary interior with plush red banquettes, exposed brick walls and an eclectic collection of Indian art. Its extensive menu has something for everyone though not as many vegetarian offerings as you would usually expect in an Indian restaurant. Starters include Machli Amritsari, tilapia fillets with a spicy batter (£4.95) and for veggies Mutter Adtaki Tikki, deep fried spicy potato patties stuffed with ginger and peas. From the Tandoor is melt in the mouth Burrah-e-Boti, lamb marinated with spices (£8.99) Tandoori Cod (£8.99) and Achari Paneer Tikka - Indian cottage cheese stuffed with pickle and marinated with yoghurt and spices and cooked in the tandoor (£7.99).
