Food & Drink Guide Notoriously choosy dining companions wont be able to throw a diva strop here. Why? The choice. An amazing array of Indian, Thai, Chinese and Italian food awaits the pernickety palate. Not happy with curry? Try a pizza. Dont like stir fries? Well, the lamb rogan josh is sublime. Really, this is a feast for the eyes as well as the belly. You begin with a banquet of starters including time-old favourites such as spare ribs, spring rolls, onion bhajis and seekh kebab, alongside tandoori cauliflower, chicken satay and crispy fat samosas. The salad bar is something else. Fresh, crisp and flavoursome, you can choose from the classic Italian insalate (mozzarella, beef tomato and basil) to marinated vegetables, pasta salads and the adventurous mango, bean sprouts and bell peppers, amongst others. The chefs are on hand to cook your choice of entre in front of you, be it Chinese, pizza, fresh pasta or hot breads ranging from paratha and naans to roti. Walking along the line of covered tureens, lifting them open, is akin to being a kid in a sweet shop. Thai green curry, braised lamb chops, chicken in black bean sauce... the options seem positively endless. And, if youre vegetarian, fear not because you are well catered for. From vegetable lasagne to spicy aubergine and lentil curries, there is a wealth of dishes to suit. The decision of what to have doesnt end here. Desserts offer the likes of fresh fruit, moist, rich chocolate cake, creme caramel, ice cream, rice pudding and a majestic chocolate fountain just a few of the delights available. Along with two large beers, the meal came to just under 20 each, which is incredible value, not only in terms of the vast choice of cuisine (which Ive barely covered in this review), but the sheer quality of the food too. The staff are incredibly helpful and the location, looking out over Leeds famous Millennium Square, is superb. If you fancy something a little bit different, head to the Spice Quarter, because I promise you wont be disappointed. Italian
