The restaurant in York is set on the banks of the River Foss and boasts original high ceilings, while Harrogates offering is located in the heart of the historical town and is the perfect place to enjoy a plate of oysters on a sumptuous leather sofa. In Leeds, Loch Fyne occupies the former post office on the City Square set over two floors and with plenty of outside seating, where better to enjoy a stunning seafood lunch in the city? So whats on the menu? Theres something for everyone not just seafood lovers. At the time of going to print, the la carte menu starters were priced from 5 and included Scottish herring fillets in four marinades with crme fraiche and pickled cucumber and a melt-in-the-mouth wild mushroom, spinach and goats cheese tart. Mains, from 8, include dishes based on fish and shellfish from the shores and smokehouse at Cairndow in Scotland, a selection of steaks and fish from the grill and stunning seafood platters to share. If shellfish isnt your thing then tuck into whole grilled south coast lemon sole with baby capers, or a simple but delicious pair of Loch Fyne kippers. Meat lovers will be delighted to see fabulous Scottish-reared produce on the menu, including highly acclaimed Glen Fyne steaks. Room for dessert? They are all homemade and change daily look out for a winning sticky toffee pudding and a traditional Scottish pud called cranachan, which is an indulgent but perfect way to round off a meal. Look out for the set menus too, which offer exceptional value for money.
