© Food & Drink Guide Situated amongst some of Leeds most popular bars and clubs, this jewel of a restaurant boasts a vibrant and Mediterranean-style interior that makes it an appealing bistro worth more than just one visit.The seasonal evening menu is loaded with an exciting choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes alongside regular chefs specials. The culinary tone is clearly set with an array of tempting starters (4 to 6.50); seared scallops on a bed of soft herb risotto was my choice, and my partner chose the duck terrine with lychees and spring onion. The main course (11 to 14.50) of pork belly confit was so tender and the accompaniments so perfectly selected that it was a shame it had to end, although I did try to eat slowly. I found the rump steak special excellent, too. There is professional assistance from the knowledgeable staff to help choose the ideal wine, and for those who still have room the choice of desserts is a sweet and sour affair hard to decide but tasty regardless. My sticky toffee pudding was a thoroughly enjoyable challenge.With a Sunday menu that includes breakfasts and a roast, this is a fantastic choice for any day of the week. Much more than just a fantastic restaurant, after the evening dinner service on Saturdays you can relax and enjoy the late bar license whilst soaking up live acoustic music.
